On Saturday, March 14 at about 11:15 PM we got a small scare. Claudia was having severe pain and cramping in her belly. She held out for as long as she could but it got to the point where it was unbearable, so we called the emergency room. Hospitals as always want to err on the side of caution, so we pack up and go in. They get Claudia all hooked up to the machinery and they are listening to the baby's heartbeat and everything is OK except for the pain, which has not subsided. They decide to give Claudia what they called a GI Cocktail which had Maalox and some anesthetic type of liquid and a third unknown liquid. She drank that and began to feel much better. The best they could tell us was that it was heartburn but due to the position of the baby, the acid could not go up the esophagus so the pain was localized in the stomach. When Claudia first started to have the pains, I asked is it contractions and she said, how would I know, I have never had them before. Good answer I guess. Or maybe just a dumb question. Too soon for contractions anyway. This little guy needs to cook a little longer. Praise the Lord everything came out OK. We will keep you all updated.
Love and God Bless!
